Radio Interview | 666 Drive : With all due respect - women limited by interruption in the Senate

29 November at 3:00pm on the ABC 666 Drive Show with Adam Shirley

University of Canberra PhD candidate Joanna Richards investigated 10 years of senate records for her thesis, Let Her Finish: Gender, Sexism and Deliberative Participation in Australian Senate Estimates Hearings.

What Joanna uncovered was despite 39 per cent of Australian senators being female, women were on average given less time to speak and were more negatively interrupted than their male colleagues.
